Meeting Parents Where They Are.
Karissa is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), which is a member of the maternal-child healthcare team with specialized skills in breastfeeding care and lactation management. The IBCLC credential is the highest certification and the only internationally recognized credential in the field of lactation. Karissa has worked with thousands of Families and collaborates closely with clients and their OBs, Midwives, and Pediatricians to create an effective lactation plan.
How does it work? Consultation appointments are offered virtually or onsite in Karissa's Apex, NC office.
What work is involved for your office? We like to keep things simple and offer three options.
What's the investment?
Option 1- Simply Refer. There is no financial investment. We provide you with the advertising tools you need to share our lactation services. Scheduling consults and billing patients is done through us, and notes are faxed to your office upon patient consent.
Benefit to Your Practice You have a vetted referral option for your patients with open communication to insure continuity of care.
Option 2- Customized Referral
Benefit to Your Practice Customized branding to align your practice with lactation services. Your patients are seen promptly by a vetted referral option and you receive notes to insure continuity of care. $150 per month
Option 3- Contracted Consults
A great option for practices who may not have the need to hire an in house IBCLC, or for coverage when your Lactation Consultant is on vacation.
Benefit to Your Practice Your patients are seen at a designated time per week and communication and care is seamlessly performed using your software. $100 per consulting hour + $50 training
New Parents Lactation Support Groups
Structured 45 minute virtual group meetings are offered weekly or bi weekly. Parents do not need to be lactating to attend. Topics may include: soothing techniques; newborn stages and phases; emotional support needs; navigating work and nursing.
What work is involved for your office? Dates are agreed upon and we supply advertising tools if needed. Meetings are held on zoom.
What's the investment? A two month commitment is required. (4) bi weekly meetings $300 or (8) weekly meetings $550
